Pretty Awesome Ad: Microsoft - The Surface Movement
This isn't the best ad in the world. Nor is it a product that I want to buy. And, the :30 version of this spot sucks. But, this :60 cut is pretty well done. I may never hold a Surface in my hand or visit a Microsoft store, but it's good to see them heading in the right direction. Kudos to everyone involved in this production.
Awesome Ad/Horrible Title: Assassin's Creed III - "Story"
Most people take titles for granted. Case in point, this TV spot for Assassin's Creed III is actually pretty sweet but it's called "Story". Seriously?
Awesome Ad: Call of Duty Black Ops 2 - Surprise
I've always loved Call of Duty's ads since they've started to use real people and celebrities under the "There's a soldier in all of us." line. But, this one directed by Guy Richie is the best since the first one with Kobe Bryant.

Awesome Race: The Greatest R/C Car Race Ever
The team at Freddiew and Rob & Big have more fun with radio-controlled cars than any of us ever have.

Awesome Spot: Need For Speed Most Wanted - Start Some Trouble
How do you follow up a spot directed by Michael Bay? By somehow finding a way (besides having Ken Block driving) to make the Ford Focus look awesome.

Awesome Showcase of Skills: Martyn Ashton - Road Bike Party
These tricks in a mountain bike would be impressive. But Martyn Ashton does them in Mark Cavendish's $16,000 carbon road bike. via Devour
Awesome Trailer: Gangster Squad
The more I see of this Gangster Squad, the more I want to see it. The editing of this trailer's pretty sweet too.

Awesome Leap: Red Bull Stratos
In case you missed it over the weekend, the Red Bull Statos project finally got off the ground after a few delays. Felix Baumgartner set the record for the highest free fall at 128,100 feet and break the speed of sound during his fall. Amazing stuff. Some of the visuals captured by his cameras is breathtaking.

Awesome Trailer: Hitchcock
We all know who Alfred Hitchcock was and what he accomplished in film. But this film tells the story of his marriage and partnership with Alma Reville during the making of Psycho. Should be a great movie that stars Anthony Hopkins, Helen Mirren, Scarlett Johansson and more.

Awesome Redesign: Myspace
I don't know who got this project, but they pretty much accomplished the impossible: redesign Myspace and make it cool. It's just a music site now and it's pretty amazing.
The new Myspace from Myspace on Vimeo.
Awesome Series: Greg Jennings for Old Spice
Pretty funny stuff. I hope there's more to come throughout the season. That goes for Jennings' fantasy football output as well.

Awesome Ad: John Lewis - Never Knowingly Undersold
Never heard of John Lewis before. But many people have tried to do split-screen ads and failed. This one pulls it off and tell a beautiful story as well.
Awesome Installation: Jordan CP3.VI - Cut Through L.A.
I'm usually not a fan of these kinds of things. But the Jordan Brand came up with a great idea and built a 'frozen in time' scene on Venice Beach with 100 Chris Paul look-a-likes and some pretty sweet props. via Nice Kicks
Awesome Movie Theme Song: "Skyfall" by Adele
Adele's voice was made for a James Bond theme. She does not disappoint. And just in case you were wondering what she's saying, the video comes with lyrics!

Awesome Episode: Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee - Jerry Seinfeld & Michael Richards
We've talked about Seinfeld's online series "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" before. But, this episode has his longtime costar, Kramer. And on top of being funny and surprising, he addresses his blowup at the Laugh Factory! Must watch.
Awesome Trailer: A Good Day To Die Hard
1 minute. Tons of action. Reintroduction of the franchise. What else does a trailer need? via Yahoo! Movies

Awesome Second Chance: Alan Greenberg's First Official At-Bat
In 2005, Alan Greenberg had his dream come true and got called up to the Major Leagues with the Chicago Cubs. Unfortunately, he got hit in the head with a 92 mph fastball on the first pitch he saw. Not only did he not record an official at-bat, he suffered a major injury and suffers from vertigo. He's been trying to get back into the Majors ever since and thanks to a social media campaign, he's getting his chance tonight. Greenberg signed a one-day contract with the Miami Marlins and they have guaranteed Alan will get a chance to record an official at-bat against the New York Mets.
