Awesome Video: Arrested Development. Gone But Not Forgotten.

Don't know where this came from? Extra on a DVD, maybe. But it's pretty great and sums up the frustration that all of us feel about the cancellation of this show.

That said, Arrested Development wasn't for everyone. It's too bad that it didn't orginate on cable or something. On cable you can have an audience of 2 million per episode and last for a few seasons. Sunny in Philly is on it's 4th season and I'd argue that it's way less mainstream than AD (cannibalism as a plot line?).

What I've always heard though is that AD budgetwise was unsustainable just based on how long it took to shoot an episode. All those camera setups cost dough. All those great actors cost dough.

If you've got Philly's four principal unknowns, plus Danny Devito, and just a few main sets, the fiscal side of things makes a lot more sense.

David Cross Puts Marketing On Blast.
