November 4, 2008 was a proud day in America. Not only did we elect our first African-American President, we also elected our first Inter-Racial President. Two things that would’ve seemed impossible no more than 8 years ago. But we came together and voted for change.
However, we have to remember that Obama is just one man. And although he represents progress, hope, and potential, he can’t change the world by himself.
Obama embodies everything that is and can be great about America; but it’s up to us to make the changes that affect our daily lives.
We all need to go out and become the best we can be. Make our neighborhoods, cities, and states the best they can be.
Only together can real change happen.
Andif there’s one thing we should take away from Obama’s amazing speech, it’s that anything is possible.
