Awesome Video: grynch - my volvo
ok, you'd think white rapper + seattle + volvo would = something wack right? or at least something so bad it's cool. but to be honest, this isn't bad. as a matter of fact, it's kinda hot. def worth a watch and listen. v - o - l - v - o, my volvo!

Awesome Video: m.i.a. - born free
ok, i'm not really a fan of her music (i actually think she's really overrated and only deserves credit for her subject matter), but this video is really good. def worth a watch.

Awesome Commercial: I Want a Mini Nissan -- Not a Real One.
Tiny cars rule! And is that a Motley Crue song on the soundtrack or something that just sounds exactly like them?
Found on Ad Freak.

Awesome Ad: nike golf - earl and tiger
Released the day before Tiger makes his return in the Masters, this spot featuring the voice of Tiger's late father couldn't have been done any better. It's simple. It's emotional. It's humbling. Well done W+K, Nike, & Tiger.
Awesome Fan Film: MW2 Film for just $200.
So this is a low-budget fan film that was made by a digital effects house, Corridor Digital. Their web site is pretty sketchy ie no big name projects.
But who needs a big name project when you've got ingenuity on your side?

Awesome Commercial: Old Spice Continues to Get Odd.
This (and the others in the campaign) was apparently directed by Tim and Eric. So what does it say when Tim and Eric's totally oddball sensibility is featured in a pretty mainstream commercial. Will Tim and Eric have to work even harder to be subversive? No doubt.
Side-note: A lot of companies attempt to update their brand with little success. Usually brands aren't that flexible. This Old Spice work is, to my mind, the exception to the norm. Can anyone else think of a brand that's managed to a left turn this successfully?
I can only think of the failures. Like that recent Wendy's work with the people running around and shouting for meat. Dang that stuff was ill-conceived.
Awesome Video: One Take. One Locked Down Shot. A Zillion Possibilities.
Don't love the song. Like is it Lilith Fair time again? But the video is awesome enough that it makes up for it.
