Awesome Message: cindy mccain, obama & others speak out

i'll be the first to admit that most anti-bullying ads come off as corny and end up ineffective. these aren't so much ads, as they are speeches. important ones. and whether you're for or against prop 8, things do need to get better, quicker.

Awesome Accomplishment: This is Our 2000th Post!

We've been bringing you the awesome for over 2000 posts. So we thought it'd be good to pause and reflect on some of the most awesome things we've seen.

First up.

The Between Two Ferns series. Zach Galifianakis has gone from underground to everywhere. This interview show he's done is totally fresh. It's akin to the mockumentary style pioneered by Christopher Guest and others but Zach brings a kind of manic perversity to the enterprise which makes it all feel brand new.

The quality has wavered, depending on the guest (I'm sure that Sean Penn wants to punch out Zach. I'm sure of it.)

Second up.

One movie phenomenon that's growing is the blurring of lines between genre films. Is Transformers really an improvement over Mega Shark versus Giant Octopus? Nope. This video is perhaps the Citizen Kane of the grade Z film.

Third up.

Another movie trailer. This one has it all for me. As, I said, originally, too bad they had to actually make the movie. Still though, this is awesome in a bucket. Girls. Guns. Technology. Swords. Cool cars. Medieval warriors. This movie's cup runneth over. Me = mind blown.

Next is the first in a series of stunts performed by T-Mobile in the UK. Brilliantly executed, they embody what blogs like ours are all about. Life's for sharing.

Then, we have an amazing short film that combines many of our favorites to create something that can only be described as awesome.

And last but not least, here is the first thing we ever posted. And two years later, if anyone knows awesome more than we do, it's Michael Bay.
